Meet our Board of Directors 

PHIL MOORE, ICD.D - CHAIR

Phil Moore brings more than 37 years of experience as a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Crest Realty, along with a background as a Vancouver police officer and a longstanding commitment to community service.

His dedication to service has been recognized with the 2021 REALTORS® Care Award and the 2025 Professional Excellence Award from Greater Vancouver REALTORS®, honouring his leadership, professionalism, mentorship and contributions to the community.

Phil currently serves as Chair of Camp Choice BC, having previously served as Vice Chair and supported the organization as a mentor since its inception. He is passionate about helping young people build confidence, develop leadership skills and make positive choices.

He served for six years on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA). He is also a past president of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, now known as Greater Vancouver REALTORS®, where he served on the board for nine years. Phil holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Phil’s commitment to youth continues throughout the year through his involvement with the East End Boys Club, where he has mentored young men since 2018. Through Camp Choice BC and ongoing mentorship, he provides guidance, encouragement and opportunities that help young people strengthen their confidence and build a positive future.

JULIANA VALLÉE, CHAIR ELECT

Juliana Vallée brings more than 16 years of experience as a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Heights Realty, along with a longstanding commitment to youth mentorship, community service and helping young people recognize their potential.

Her dedication to service has been recognized with the 2025 RE/MAX Canada Community Care Award, a 2024 REALTORS Care® Spotlight from the Canadian Real Estate Association, and the 2023 REALTORS® Care Award from Greater Vancouver REALTORS®, honouring her contributions to youth and the community.

Juliana currently serves as Chair-Elect of Camp Choice BC, having previously served as Board Secretary, Gala Chair and Vice Chair. She first became involved in 2022 as organizing director of the Black and Gold Gala and spent camp week at Zajac Ranch coaching girls aged 13 to 18. When the camp was at risk of cancellation, she rallied youth through car washes, donut sales and outdoor workouts, helping ensure 43 teens could attend at no cost. She has helped raise more than $200,000 and, in 2026, led the Hearts of Gold Valentine’s Eve Gala, which helped send 42 youth to camp that summer.

Juliana is also the Founder and Director of the Vancity Girls Club, which mentors marginalized young women aged 13 to 22 and serves as one of Camp Choice BC’s youth referral partners. Through mentorship and opportunities for connection, she helps young women build confidence, develop leadership skills and strengthen their sense of belonging.

A brain tumour survivor, legally blind in one eye and a single mother of four, Juliana shares her experiences to help young people understand that hardship does not have to define their future. She also donates a portion of every real estate sale to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. Through Camp Choice BC and her ongoing community work, she is committed to ensuring young people have someone in their corner and opportunities to build a positive future.

TOM HERMEZ, TREASURER

Tom Hermez, a father to five, serves as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Camp Choice BC since its inception as a registered charity in 2020. With 26 years at Bosa Foods, 20 as Financial Controller, Tom's extensive expertise in finance is invaluable to the organization. He's also the founder of a bookkeeping firm, demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to growth. His financial acumen and leadership are essential to steering Camp Choice BC's mission forward.

JOHN PATRICELLI, PAST CHAIR

Growing up on the rough side of town in East Vancouver. John was Born into a family where domestic violence was common, in response to this, he started searching for a way out of the painful life he was living. For a young teenager, that meant hanging out late at night, and drinking to forget the nasty things happening around him. He was an at-risk youth, making many bad choices along the way. Thankfully through the support of friends and family, John turned his life around and became a husband, father and successful Burnaby REALTOR®. He was the recipient of Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver REALTORS® Care Award in 2017, and was a mentor for the East End Boys Club of Templeton High School. in addition, John speaks to other East Vancouver high schools about the perils of drinking and drugs and how they can instead choose to create a successful life making positive choices.

SIERRA JOHNSON, DIRECTOR AT LARGE

Originally from Alberta, Sierra was raised by a single mother and grew up navigating the realities of domestic violence and financial hardship. Those early experiences shaped her understanding of resilience and sparked a lifelong commitment to supporting youth who face similar challenges.

Sierra first joined Camp Choice BC as a coach, where she witnessed firsthand the power of connection, consistency, and positive role models. The impact of that work stayed with her, and she is honoured to now serve on the Board of Directors, contributing to the same life-changing support she once needed herself.

Today, Sierra is a dedicated realtor and community advocate in British Columbia. She brings her lived experience, leadership, and deep belief in empowerment to the Camp Choice BC board, helping create safe, inspiring spaces where young people can discover their strength, build confidence, and imagine a future filled with possibility.

ZOE VALLÉE, DIRECTOR AT LARGE

Zoe Vallée, a 23-year-old from Coquitlam, BC, is a passionate personal trainer and mentor devoted to empowering others to reach their highest potential—both physically and mentally. A graduate of Burnaby Central Secondary School, Zoe has turned her dedication to health, fitness, and personal growth into a purposeful career built on strength, discipline, and heart.

As a top bikini bodybuilder, Zoe continues to inspire others through her commitment, resilience, and drive to push beyond limits. Her belief in the power of self-development and community connection shines through in everything she does, encouraging others to embrace confidence and live with intention.

A longtime Camp Choice BC coach and now a member of the Board of Directors, Zoe embodies the spirit of leadership and service. Her compassion, authenticity, and ability to connect with youth make her a guiding light in helping others discover their own strength and purpose.
